Harry Potter and the Cursed Child will be returning to the Princess Theatre stage from Saturday 26 June.
The Vic Governement have eased restrictions to allow the show to play to 50% capacity of the theatre. Unfortunately there will still be tickets that will need to be exchanged. All affected ticket holders will receive an email containing further information from Ticketmaster.
The 50% capacity will affect performances from Saturday 26 June through to and including Friday 2 July. From Saturday 3 July the show will be permitted to play to 100% capacity, pending advice from the Government. A reminder that masks are mandatory within the theatre.

This “wildly imaginative continuation of J.K. Rowling’s wizardry saga” (The Hollywood Reporter) is a thrilling new adventure that the Herald Sun Melbourne calls “Spellbinding – Like nothing on earth”.
Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the most awarded production in the history of Britain’s Olivier Awards, winning a record breaking nine awards including Best New Play and Best Director. Following its New York opening in April 2018, the Play won six Tony Awards on Broadway, including best play.
The Princess Theatre is the Australian home to Harry Potter and The Cursed Child – Parts One and Two which is exclusively playing in Melbourne.

The producers of Harry Potter and the Cursed Child have a continuing commitment to deliver an exceptional theatrical experience, and that includes the safety and peace of mind of all its audiences, cast and company, and theatre staff.
Marriner Group have developed a COVID Safe Plan to ensure the theatre-going experience is safe for everyone who enters the venue. The venue will operate in accordance with Victorian Government health guidelines, and all procedures will continue to be updated as necessary.

The show is suitable for ages 10 and up. All persons entering the theatre, regardless of age, must have a ticket. Children under 4 are not permitted in the theatre. Please note that children under the age of 15 will not be admitted to the theatre without the accompaniment of an adult.

It is an offence for Harry Potter and the Cursed Child tickets to be sold, or offered or advertised for resale, at a price exceeding its face value purchase price by more than 10%, unless the seller is authorised in writing by the ticketed event organiser. Breaches can result in heavy fines of up to $99,132 ($109,044 from 1 July 2021) for an individual and $495,660 ($545,220 from 1 July 2021) for a company.
