We look forward to welcoming you to the Princess Theatre. Below is some information that will help you prepare for your visit.
Below is some useful information for having the best experience when you visit one of our venues.
At Marriner Group we are committed to providing a welcoming environment for everyone we are hosting at our venues. Discriminatory or anti-social behaviour will not be tolerated. Please let our front of house staff know if you experience any issues and it can be dealt with accordingly. We want the theatre to feel like a safe space for both our staff and our patrons so please be kind and treat others how you would like to be treated. That way we can all have the best time.
We encourage all patrons to arrive 30 minutes before their performance start time, to allow enough time to get their tickets scanned, go to the bar for a drink or snack, browse the merchandise and to make your way to your seat with plenty of time. If you arrive late, you may not be allowed access until a suitable break in the performance, and it can be disruptive to other people in your row.
Any bags larger than A4 size will need to be cloaked prior to entering the auditorium. Our cloakroom space is limited so we ask that you leave any luggage or bulky items at home where possible. Due to security requirements, you may be asked to show the contents of your bags.
Checking messages, emails or social media during a performance can be very disruptive to those around you. Please be mindful of this and turn your mobile device to silent or off and refrain from using them during the performance.
We are delighted for you to share your visit to the venue and your experience at the show. Photos in the foyers, in the auditorium pre-show, at interval and post-show are all permitted. However, filming, sound recordings and photography throughout the performance are strictly prohibited. Some productions may allow photography for the curtain call, but if this is the case you will be advised.
Please be mindful of those around you so that everyone gets to enjoy the show. Talking, singing along or dancing during the show can be very disruptive. Please save it for the curtain call when singing and dancing together is often encouraged.
The performers on stage have been working hard to bring you the best possible performance and we encourage you to applaud, cheer and stand up at the end of the show to share your enthusiasm and appreciation.
If you have any questions or concerns throughout your time in the venue, please do not hesitate to approach a member of our team who will be able to help you.
There are limited bag cloaking facilities at the Princess Theatre. To cloak items, please speak to a Front of House staff member for assistance. Patrons are advised against bringing bulky items or prams to the theatre. The cloakroom is located in the Stalls foyer, next to Door 1.
For all lost property enquiries, please email: [email protected] with details of the item, the show you attended, the date and your best contact details. We’ll let you know if your item has been found. We only keep items for a limited period of time before we donate them.
All bags are subject to search on entry. Oversized bags and large backpacks (larger than A4) will need to be cloaked prior to entry into the auditorium. We are unable to cloak luggage and recommend limiting the number of items and bags that you bring to the venue.
You can find additional details regarding our Conditions of Entry here.
Shows often come with an age recommendation which can be found on the relevant event information pages of our website. While we work closely with the show producers to determine a suitable age recommendation, it's still ultimately up to you as the parent to make the final decision around suitability.
