Security Guards

Marriner Group is seeking experienced Security Guards to provide security and a high level of customer service for concerts, theatre shows and events across some of Melbourne's most iconic venues; the Regent, Princess and Comedy Theatres, Forum Melbourne and the Plaza Ballroom.

These are casual positions. Flexibility with working hours, including being able to work nights, weekends and shift work is essential.

Candidates must hold a current Victorian Private Security Individual Licence, a current First Aid certificate, a current drivers’ licence and be able to demonstrate key competencies in the following areas:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Personable and enthusiastic
• Exceptional personal presentation
• A calm approach in high-pressure situations
• Competent working knowledge of the relevant legislation

To be a successful candidate you must demonstrate a professional manner, an appropriate level of fitness, high standard of personal grooming and have at least a minimum two years previous experience as a Security Guard at large scale public events, including contemporary music audiences.

You will undertake varied tasks set by the Security Manager, which will require you to work autonomously and as part of a team.  The ability to prioritise, show initiative, good communication skills and reliability is essential.

Venue Presentation Cleaners - Casual Positions

We are seeking casual cleaning superstars to join our Venue Presentation team, working across all our Melbourne CBD venues.

The Venue Presentation team assists in making these magnificent venues *sparkle* for the thousands of patrons we welcome through our doors each day.

Successful applicants must be able to work early mornings (some shifts starting at 6:00am) and afternoons, with evening shifts available.  Applicants must be physically fit as heavy lifting/moving may be involved as part of the role.   

Immediate start, with training provided.  Discounted parking rates at nearby car parks are available for Marriner Group staff, plus get to see some of Melbourne’s best shows!

Payroll Officer

Location: Head Office, Melbourne

Marriner Group is seeking to engage an enthusiastic and experienced Payroll Officer to join the People, Culture and Communications team. You will be responsible for assisting our payroll team in producing a weekly pay cycle and maintaining administrative documentation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Assisting with the production of a weekly pay cycle, including monthly and yearly reconciliation
• Assisting with day-to-day queries from employees
• Responding to employee enquiries regarding payroll-related issues in a timely and friendly manner
• Timesheet amendments
• Timesheet approvals
• Assisting with Work Cover applications/payments/administration
• Maintaining employee payroll records (leave and time in Lieu accrual)
• Assisting with onboarding and ensuring accurate reflection in the payroll system

Desired Attributes:

• A friendly, professional and positive attitude
• Strong technology skills, particularly with programs such as Microsoft Excel
• Previous experience with MicrOpay (payroll software) would be beneficial
• Fantastic attention to detail
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
• Understanding of NES and compliance regulations

Experience and Requirements:

• Previous payroll experience
• Fantastic interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
• Relevant knowledge of modern awards and legislation

Event Sales Coodinator

Location: Head Office, Melbourne

We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic Event Sales Team. You will report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Events and the Senior Sales Executive.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist the Event Sales Executives to plan and deliver events.
• Organising events from initial enquiry through to post-event follow up including; site inspections, proposals, event planning, administration and management, preparation of event orders, floor plans etc.
• Developing and maintaining new and existing client relationships.
• Actively source new business leads.

Successful applicants will need;

• A passion for corporate and wedding events
• A proven ability to build rapport with clients through excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent administration skills 
• A minimum of 2 years working in the events industry
• Proven experience in event sales and business development within a team environment
• An understanding of event planning and administration of events.
• A strong operational understanding of food and beverage.
• Developed organisational and time management skills.
• The ability and desire to work within a positive team environment. 
• Experience with event software will be looked upon favourably.
