Matilda The Musical, the multi-award winning musical from the Royal Shakespeare Company, inspired by the beloved book by Roald Dahl, is heading back to Australia from October 2027.
Based on Roald Dahl's beloved novel, Matilda The Musical tells the story of an extraordinary young girl with an astonishing imagination, a brilliant mind and an unbreakable spirit. As she dares to stand up to injustice and take control of her own destiny, Matilda discovers that even the smallest voice can make the biggest difference.

Winner of 101 international awards, including 25 for Best Musical, and seen by more than 13 million people across over 100 cities worldwide, it has become one of the defining musical theatre productions of our time.
Matilda The Musical is brought to the stage by the original creative team from the RSC production: Dennis Kelly (Book), Tim Minchin (Music & Lyrics), Matthew Warchus (Developed and Directed), Peter Darling (Choreographer), Rob Howell (Set & Costume Design), Christopher Nightingale (Orchestrations & Additional Music), Hugh Vanstone (Lighting Design), Simon Baker (Sound Design) and Paul Kieve (Illusion).
