Security Guards

Marriner Group is seeking experienced Security Guards to provide security and a high level of customer service for concerts, theatre shows and events across some of Melbourne's most iconic venues; the Regent, Princess and Comedy Theatres, Forum Melbourne and the Plaza Ballroom.

These are casual positions. Flexibility with working hours, including being able to work nights, weekends and shift work is essential.

Candidates must hold a current Victorian Private Security Individual Licence, a current First Aid certificate, a current drivers’ licence and be able to demonstrate key competencies in the following areas:

• Excellent customer service skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Personable and enthusiastic
• Exceptional personal presentation
• A calm approach in high-pressure situations
• Competent working knowledge of the relevant legislation

To be a successful candidate you must demonstrate a professional manner, an appropriate level of fitness, high standard of personal grooming and have at least a minimum two years previous experience as a Security Guard at large scale public events, including contemporary music audiences.

You will undertake varied tasks set by the Security Manager, which will require you to work autonomously and as part of a team.  The ability to prioritise, show initiative, good communication skills and reliability is essential.

Venue Presentation Cleaners - Casual Positions

We are seeking casual cleaning superstars to join our Venue Presentation team, working across all our Melbourne CBD venues.

The Venue Presentation team assists in making these magnificent venues *sparkle* for the thousands of patrons we welcome through our doors each day.

Successful applicants must be able to work early mornings (some shifts starting at 6:00am) and afternoons, with evening shifts available.  Applicants must be physically fit as heavy lifting/moving may be involved as part of the role.   

Immediate start, with training provided.  Discounted parking rates at nearby car parks are available for Marriner Group staff, plus get to see some of Melbourne’s best shows!

Event Sales Coodinator

Location: Head Office, Melbourne

We are seeking an enthusiastic Event Sales Coordinator to join our dynamic Event Sales Team. You will report to the Director of Strategic Partnerships & Events and the Senior Sales Executive.

The main responsibilities of this role are:

• Assist the Event Sales Executives to plan and deliver events.
• Organising events from initial enquiry through to post-event follow up including; site inspections, proposals, event planning, administration and management, preparation of event orders, floor plans etc.
• Developing and maintaining new and existing client relationships.
• Actively source new business leads.

Successful applicants will need;

• A passion for corporate and wedding events
• A proven ability to build rapport with clients through excellent verbal and written communication.
• Excellent administration skills 
• A minimum of 2 years working in the events industry
• Proven experience in event sales and business development within a team environment
• An understanding of event planning and administration of events.
• A strong operational understanding of food and beverage.
• Developed organisational and time management skills.
• The ability and desire to work within a positive team environment. 
• Experience with event software will be looked upon favourably.
