Princess Theatre Suites

Melbourne’s iconic Princess Theatre has undergone a magnificent refurbishment, including the newly designed Private Suites and Premium Lounge. The area has been transformed to include three main areas – the Marriner Room, Melba Room and Wintergarden Bar, all of which can be hired separately or utilised together to create this highly sought-after event space. This is the perfect area to enjoy before a show or to entertain clients or VIP guests and the space comes complete with bespoke décor and furniture and award-winning catering – an experience sure to impress.

The stunning interior of the suites has been designed by Geraldine Maher from Maher Design who describes the spaces as offering a premium experience in luxurious surroundings – possessing a modern spirit with a nod to the past.

Private Suites:

Marriner Group is able to complement a night at the theatre with the ultimate private dining experience.  It's the perfect alternative to dining at a restaurant before a show and your theatre seats are only moments away.

For a client dinner or cocktail reception, a reward for your staff or a special night out with family or friends, this decadent space is also available for private hire for a degustation dinner or cocktail function for up to 50 guests. David Ricardo is delighted to be able to offer an innovative menu that exceeds Melbourne’s high expectations, and the wines have been carefully selected by our in-house sommelier.

Premium Lounge:

Book a Premium Lounge Package when you come to see Harry Potter and the Cursed Child at the Princess Theatre. The private lounge will be open 90 minutes prior to a show, between shows and during intervals. Guests have the opportunity to order from a specially designed in-house menu and can enjoy a welcome drink and hors d’oeuvres created by Executive Chef of all the Marriner Group venues, David Ricardo. Guests can also choose from an extensive wine list, enjoy complimentary soft drinks including barista made coffee, a souvenir program, private restrooms and cloak check.
