COVID Safe Information for Marriner Group patrons

Your enjoyment, comfort and safety is our top priority, and to ensure your event is fun and memorable in all the right ways, we ask that you review the below information to keep you and others safe.

Do I need to be vaccinated?
It is currently a government requirement for all patrons aged 12 years 2 months or over to show proof of their full-vaccination status to our staff to enter the venue. You can do this via the Service Victoria app, or by storing the certificate in your digital wallet, or presenting a physical certificate. Patrons can also present a valid medical exemption. If the patron is a dependant, a parent/guardian may verify on their behalf.

You can book tickets with confidence.
Ticket exchanges are available for anyone unwell, self-isolating awaiting a COVID‑19 test result, or affected by government mandated restrictions, or if the performance is postponed or rescheduled. Contact your point of purchase or the box office for more information.

If you are feeling unwell, please stay home.
Please do not attend the venue if you are showing symptoms of COVID-19, in isolation as a result of a COVID-19 diagnosis or awaiting COVID-19 test results, or are in quarantine as advised by the Department of Health. Please contact your point of purchase as early as possible – no later than 10am on the day of the performance – so we can exchange your ticket.

Preparing for your visit:

  • Download the Service Vic app.
The fastest way to check-in to the theatre is to download the Service Victoria app, and scan the QR code with your phone at the front of the venue. Please also add your COVID-19 Digital Certificate to the Service Victoria app for quick verification of your vaccination status.
  • Arrive early.
We recommend arriving 30 mins before the performance. Check your ticket for your door number so you can make your way directly to your seat.
  • Bring your mask.
You are required to wear your mask for the duration of your visit, unless you have a lawful reason not to do so.

At the theatre:

  • Undertake good hand and respiratory hygiene.
You can play a part in maintaining a COVID safe venue. Make use of the hand sanitiser that will be available throughout the venue, and sneeze or cough into your elbow.
  • The cloakroom will be closed.
Please don’t bring any large personal items or bags or handbags larger than equivalent to an A4 sheet as we cannot permit them in the venue.
  • In the auditorium:
The auditorium will be seated in our standard layout, so you may be seated next to other patrons.

Our safety measures:

  • We aim to provide a COVID Safe Venue.
Our comprehensive COVID Safe Plan includes control measures such as full venue cleaning before and after every performance, frequent and intensive cleaning of common high-traffic touch points (such as handrails, door handles, toilets, seat backs/armrests, and service counters), upgraded air-conditioning with 100% fresh air and filtration, and additional training for our staff.
  • Please note our Conditions of Entry.
By entering the venue, you agree to abide by our Conditions of Entry. You are also agreeing to follow the directions of our staff and signage, and any applicable government directives.

We are here to ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience. If your question hasn’t been answered here or you have any additional queries or concerns, you can contact us at, or you can speak with any of our staff at the theatre.
